True or not true, todays luxaries are effecting tomorrow. With holes in the O-Zone layer that may not have been there before, and the thinning of the o-zone across the planet, the UV-rays are worse now than they were just 100 years ago. With higher UV's, skin cancer will go up, and, although we may be able to cure it in the US, other third world countries are not as lucky.
If the world is getting hotter, then the poles could present a huge problem. There is a tremendous amount of water frozen on the north and south poles of our planet. If they melt, the oceans world-wide will rise 2-3 feet. Although that may not seem that much, that's an addition 2-3 feet over 75% of the world.However, according to NASA's data, this won't happen. |
