If there is a problem, and the population will continue to rise, then we must find an answer. As always, I am against any law tht would forbid any one from having children. As always, I believe that every person on this planet is entitled to have children, and, as always, I believe the best solution is to simply educate the uneducated.
Third world countries are still the areas with the most population growth. This is no coincidence that they are the uneducated and have the worst lives that any one can imagine. If educated and taught about the problems that they may be creating, as well as being given a chance to live a better life, I think most, if not all of them would stop multiplying like rabbits. The answer is not to put strict laws that forbid them from having children, because they must understand the actual problem, not just that a law tells them not to. In my opinion, laws are just temporary answers, because if people do not understand laws, they will break them. Also, by putting such laws in place, 600,000,000 girls are "missing." This is an extreme number if you think that there are less that 300,000,000 pepole in America.
It is no coincidence that in European countries, Japan, the US, and in Canada the population burst is slowing, or actually shrinking. It is not because of strict laws that forbid them from having children, it is from education showing them that having too many children is not only irresponsible, it's harmful.
The problem with all solutions to slowing a population burst is social security, because in a sinking population, social security would be almost impossible. But, as I may be in the first generation that actually has to put up with lost social security due to a shrinking population, I would have to say that it is worth it, because saving the future is more important than saving the past. |
